What to know about attending a Parlour show
At the gig
General Parlour etiquette The magic of a Parlour Gig is all in the music! An artist will usually play for 45 mins - 1 hour (depending on the artist), so there's always plenty of time to chat before and after the gig. Please do be respectful to the musician; they're standing up there, bearing their soul, the last thing they need is people talking during their set. Can I get a photo with the artist? Absolutely, as long as you ask! No one likes a paparazzo. **Can I take photos & vi
Do I need to present my ticket at the door?
If the host is checking people at the door, please be ready to show your ticket. However, the host has a guest list and they’ll know that you're on there!
Refunds, Cancellations & Reschedules
If a show you are attending has been cancelled for any reason, you will be given a full refund. This includes if your host has not reached the minimum amount of tickets. If a show you are attending has had to be rescheduled to a date that you're no longer able to attend, you will have the option of a refund. You will need to let us know within 14 days of being notified of the date change if you require a refund. If you have purchased a ticket for a show that you're no longer able to attend
What should I bring?
Depends on the gig! Most gigs are BYO and hosts often ask guests to bring a plate of food to share. It's best to check with your host though, as they might need you to bring something else like a cushion to sit on!
What's it all about?
Parlour allows people to experience the music they love, live in their own space. Your friend/family member/colleague/acquaintance has been successful in applying to host a Parlour Gig and now they need you to buy tickets so the show can go ahead. Parlour is a way of getting your friends together to 'crowdfund' a show via ticket sales (with more than 80% going into the artists pocket). Whether it's an established or emerging artist, buying a ticket means you're directly supporting
Just like if you're attending a party, ask your host if it's ok to bring friends along. If it's all good and the gig isn't sold out, share the ticket link with your friend or buy their ticket for them.
When will I be sent the address?
When you buy tickets for the gig you’ll receive the address of the Parlour Gig via email along with your ticket and proof of purchase. If you require any more information please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
